Biking -Womens Fitness

Womens fitness encourages you to go biking.

Biking is a safe aerobic exercise.

Bicycling exercise is good for your heart and circulatory system.

You will build your muscles with less stress on your joints than running.

Have fun and exercise at the same time.

Ride with your family.  Your children will love it.

Remember what a great time you had riding your bike with your friends?

You rode in a group or by yourself and had a sense of freedom.

Benefits of Biking

Unwind after a busy day.

Save gas and money.

Inexpensive.

Can ride alone or with friends.

Enjoy the outdoors.

As always – check with your doctor for any precautions.

Do stretching exercises before and after biking.

Begin riding outdoors on a flat terrain.  Gradually increase your time and speed.

Add hills slowly.  Consistent slow improvement is the answer.

For bad weather, you can have indoor stationary biking or a spinning class to keep in shape.

Start out in a neighborhood or park with little traffic.  Always use hand signals on the road.

Have help getting a bike that fits you before you start.  Check out the tips for good equipment.

To be safe - you need proper equipment.

To start with:

Have fun and look into a cycling vacation with friends.

Learn more biking terms.

Remember safety first!
