Womens Fitness – Moderate Exercises

Your exercise intensity levels can be determined many ways.

You can use your heart rate to determine intensity level.

The number of calories burned is often the measure used.

Determine your beginning level of intensity and gradually increase the level when you are ready.

Weight Watchers quotes the most popular method is by measuring the heart rate.

  • Low Intensity: heart rate is 68-to-92 beats per minute.
  • Moderate Intensity: heart rate is 93-to-118 beats per minute.
  • High Intensity: heart rate is more than 119 beats per minute.

One way to measure the heart rate is by taking your pulse periodically as you exercise.

Womens Fitness recommends The American Heart Association’s chart that shows the estimated target heart rates for different ages.

Often a person simply determines their maximum daily level by how they feel while exercising.
